1. How long have you practiced yoga?
Think its 12 years now.

2. When did you start Yoga Vibe Tenerife with Emily?
Nearly 2 years i think!!

3. Why do you practice yoga?
I started yoga after a family tragedy, i badly needed something to help me & had read about how yoga could help in such situations.
The differences i have felt mentally & physically are amazing- i don’t feel stressed inside as i used to, stay calmer in stressful situations & physically much stronger. Its truely amazing how it helps the mind become calm and the body stronger & more flexible. I can’t see me ever stopping!!

4. How would you describe YVT sessions?
YVT is fabulous, just my type of yoga, flowing asanas in an amazing setting,”Ocean Breeze” yoga by the sea, it can’t get any better!! Emily is a great teacher, my balancing asanas have always been the hardest part for me and with emily they are so much better & improving all the time. She works the whole body during each session which makes you feel great afterwards. Lots of variety with the classes so you don’t become bored with a set routine. Overall Emily is a wonderful yoga teacher.

5. Which is your favourite asana…& why?!
Downdog number one. Then trikasana, love the stretching with both these postures.

6. What would you say to someone considering “getting on the mat”?
Definitely do it, stop thinking and get on the mat, the benefits are amazing. Oh and you’re never too old to start as you work with your own bodies limitations, Namaste

About 5 months.

2. When did you start Yoga Vibe Tenerife with Emily?
About 5 months ago.

3. Why do you practice yoga?
Combined with my usual type of training it helps my core stability and range of motion and is a great way to relax.

4. How would you describe YVT sessions?
A very friendly and relaxed approach makes getting on the mat very easy. Emily has a soft teaching method and helps all her students which is great for all levels of experience.

5. Which is your favourite asana…& why?!
I don’t really have a favorite so far.

6. What would you say to someone considering “getting on the mat”?
Just do it ! After years of weight lifting stepping onto the mat has been a completely different experience and helped me relax more as I lift.

1. How long have you practiced yoga?
About 4-5 months now.

2. When did you start Yoga Vibe Tenerife with Emily?
I tried it a few time in the UK years ago but didn’t take to it then. I started with Emily 4-5 month ago.

3. Why do you practice yoga?
Being a qualified fitness instructor I am fully aware of the benefits of yoga on the body & mind. For me I knew I needed it years ago for my physical wellbeing but I wasn’t mentally ready (too much going on in my life!) after moving to Tenerife & leaving most of my stresses behind I knew I needed to give it another go & I instantly loved it!! I’m enjoying feeling stronger & I think doing it overlooking the ocean really benefits the mind & I find it easier to focus here rather than in a fitness studio.

4. How would you describe YVT sessions?
I find the sessions energising yet relaxing at the same time, again the location makes a big difference to me too. Emily has a very calming & friendly nature & makes you feel totally comfortable no matter if you’re a beginner or pro!! She offers alternative moves to those struggling: which is so important when making newbies feel comfortable.

5. Which is your favourite asana…& why?!
Ooh I’d say downward dog as I love the stretch it gives down the hamstrings & calves….. Where I need it!!

6. What would you say to someone considering “getting on the mat”?
Do it do it do it do it just give it a go, be patient “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. I still struggle to stop my mind wondering at times but I’m lots better than when I started. Once you start to feel the benefits you’ll be hooked.

About 2 years.

2. When did you start Yoga Vibe Tenerife with Emily?
About 2 years ago!

3. Why do you practice yoga?
It is a workout for the mind AND the body! Yoga helps quieten my mind, allows me to disconnect and generally recharge to get 100% of myself. And most importantly – it gives me energy and makes me happy! Playing golf over the past few years whilst practicing yoga, I have also noticed that I have better balance and hit the ball a lot longer due to my core strength.

4. How would you describe YVT sessions
Emily has such a gentle manner which suits complete beginners to seasoned yogis. Emily guides you through the session from posture to posture whilst reminding you to breathe, let go of thoughts and dedicate the time to yourself. There is no need to feel out of place or too much of a beginner as Emily won´t highlight your faults – she will quietly help you adjust and always remember which postures give you trouble with flexibility or injuries.

5. Which is your favourite asana…& why?!
It changes from month to month. It used to be Eagle, but at the moment it is Down Dog. This posture gives me such a stretch through my legs and almost puts fire throughout my body!

6. What would you say to someone considering “getting on the mat”?
Just do it and stick with it. Don´t be afraid of what others think – it may take a while to “get it” but the benefits are fantastic. Increased energy, flexibility, happiness and confidence are just a few of the upsides… and NO downsides…!

1. How long have you practiced yoga?
At least 2 & a half years.

2. When did you start Yoga Vibe Tenerife with Emily?
My first ever yoga class was with Emily: 2 & ½ yrs ago.

3. Why do you practice yoga?
For the feel good factor: before yoga I used to have a lot of pain in my shoulder and back and now it just keeps getting better and better. Also it’s an amazing way to have an all-round workout and helps me to release any tension in my body and feel calm yet energised.

4. How would you describe YVT sessions
Perfect! I love every single class I go to, Emily is a great teacher and it’s suitable for everyone. Everything you could want from a yoga class – yvt has it!
From where I started to now is just amazing.

5. Which is your favourite asana…& why?!
I love so many… I would say balancing postures as I know how far I have come & I like the challenge they give me and of course savasana!

6. What would you say to someone considering “getting on the mat”?
Absolutey yes!!
